Qlty Cloud licensing is based on seats. Your subscription includes a set number of seats, and you assign a seat to each contributor who needs access.

Managing seats

The Seat Management page (Workspace Settings › Seat Management) shows:
  • Subscription quantity — the number of seats included in your subscription.
  • Used seats — seats currently assigned to contributors.
  • Unassigned seats remaining — seats still available to assign.
Admins assign a seat to a contributor by entering their login (a user or bot), and can unassign a seat at any time to free it up.

What requires a seat

A contributor needs a seat for Qlty to show:
  • The in-app Pull Request coverage view in Qlty Cloud.
  • Qlty’s analysis and coverage comments on the Pull Request on GitHub.
If a Pull Request’s author doesn’t have a seat, Qlty hides those features for that Pull Request and prompts an admin to grant one.
